We don’t want to bother your guardian angel!
The German Federal Office of statistics and research “Traffic in numbers” of the German Ministry of Traffic shows that coaches are the safest means of transportation. Only 1.2% of road accidents with injuries, according to a recent statistic, involve coaches. But this is still not enough for us! Because every accident is one accident too many!
Since the safety of our travellers is extremely important to us, our coaches are always maintained perfectly. Silbernagl coaches constantly observe the severest safety and quality standards; they are overhauled once per year by the Civil Motorisation Office of Bolzano, and once a year, voluntarily, by the German TUV.
In addition to control by competent offices, we also perform inspections twice a year on fire extinguishers, replace the first aid kits and inspect safety belts, emergency hammers, etc., within the ambit of or inspection programme.
We want you to travel safely!
That’s why we rigorously respect prescribed driving times by the EU (regulation n. 561/2006).
Current norms on coach driver driving and rest time throughout the European Union member states are defined in CE regulation 261/2006.
The most important norms of this regulation can be consulted here. Since we respect these norms scrupulously, we use two drivers, if needed, for long trips. So you can enjoy your peace of mind, because there is always a “well-rested” driver at the wheel of a Silbernagle coach. Because the most important element for your safety is always the driver.

The most important element for your safety is always the driver. That’s why our drivers, in addition to being subject to the medical examination foreseen by law every five years for renewal of their licence, are examined at regular intervals by a doctor at work.
Additionally, our drivers attend a first aid course within the ambit of our training programme. So our drivers are able to perform first aid treatment, which is always extremely important, if it is needed
